Summer Maintenance Tips, Part 2

There is no better time to get projects done than during the summer. The long days give you more hours of daylight and make it easier to fit these activities into the schedule. We at Robert B. Payne, Inc. have been providing expert heating and cooling services since 1930, including HVAC repair in Fredericksburg. Here are some maintenance tips for summer.

HVAC Repair

You don’t want to lose your cool during the summer because your AC unit is not working. Scheduling an annual maintenance appointment for your AC unit, right before the summer starts, is a smart way to ensure it works when you need it. This appointment is a good opportunity for trained technicians to spot any problems and take care of them on the spot. Even if summer is nearly over, it’s never a bad time to perform important maintenance.

Roof Check

A roof inspection is another good summer maintenance project. Wind, hail, sleet, snow, rain and sun cause a lot of wear and tear on roofs, and you’ll want to address any damage quickly. For most houses, it is impossible to see what is going on unless someone actually climbs up on the roof. An annual checkup is a good way to catch any leaks before they become major problems and can help avoid a big mess and major expense down the road. Any missing shingles can be replaced and cracks sealed.

Pool Maintenance

If you live in a place where the winters are cold, your pool probably does not get a lot of attention until the summer rolls around. Some things to do to help maintain a pool and prepare it for summer include: cleaning it up, confirming the pumps work, and balancing the chemicals. These activities can help ensure it is sparkling and ready for summer fun.
