Top Places to Celebrate Christmas in Fredericksburg and Nearby Communities

Maybe we’re a little biased, but we think Fredericksburg is one of the best places to celebrate and spend the Christmas holiday. That’s because our city has so much history! The crew at Robert B. Payne, Inc. decided we’d gather a list of our favorite Fredericksburg Christmas traditions and share that with you!

Celebrate Christmas at These Places

First and foremost, the Christmas Parade is the perfect way to ring in the holiday season. It takes place downtown and hosts floats made by several community groups. This year’s theme is “Christmas Pastimes,” and we couldn’t be more excited about it!

Next, stay in the historic downtown area and shop small. Our local businesses often have sales around this time of year, so shopping at these local stores is the perfect way to support the Fredericksburg community and get a good deal.

Holiday concerts and performances are some of our other ways to ring in the holiday. From the school district’s choir concerts to the Frederickburg Ballet Centre’s Nutcracker performance, Christmas is bound to feel festive.

The traditional favorite, finally, is to visit the Battle of Fredericksburg Site. The battle actually took place on December 12th and 13th, so this time of year is great for delving into the local history. Check out a guided tour at the site!

Fredericksburg Has Christmas Cheer!

Our community has the history,  the holiday fun, and the spirit of Christmas. Don’t miss out on these awesome places to celebrate!
